Certification of cargo

Certification of cargo

When making international transport (import to Russia or export of goods outside the territory of Russia), some products require mandatory certificates of various types and other documents authorizing the customs border crossing.

Our company provides services for certification and provision of other permits with the support of the All-Russian customs representative "Venta" which quickly and competently performs clearance of export and import. Export of products of Russian enterprises is usually cleared by a freight forwarding company.

Approvals are issued either as a part of a package of customs clearance services, or separately – for the customers ordering the execution of only some of the documents given below.

Certificate – is a document which confirms that goods comply with the requirements and standards applicable for today. Some products are certified mandatory (a list of such products is determined by a special decision of the Government of the Russian Federation), and some may be certified voluntarily, at the initiative of the applicant. If the products are included in the above list, voluntary certification does not eliminate binding.

A plurality of types of certificates:

  • Certificates of origin,
  • Quality certificates,
  • Fire safety,
  • Environmental,
  • Phytosanitary,
  • Certificates of conformity with technical regulations,
  • Veterinary and other certificates.

Certificates are issued by special certifying authorities.

Declaration of Conformity - is a document confirming the same as the certificate, but issued by the applicant and sealed by the certifying authority. It is issued only for products that are subject to mandatory certification.

Certificate of state registration of products – is a document certifying that the products or goods have passed hygienic and sanitary inspection, meet the requirements established in the countries of the Customs Union, and included in the list of products subject to the mandatory sanitary inspection. Since 2010, this document replaces the Safety and Health Certificate. Without the certificate issued for the products included in the list, to get other certificates or declarations of compliance is not possible.

Permission for import/export of products and goods, import and export of which is permitted only with the consent of the relevant government agencies, including:

  • Permission for import/export of products containing ozone-depleting substances;
  • Import quarantine permit for the importation of products of plant origin.

Resignation Letter – is a document with the explanation that the transported products do not require mandatory certificates of conformity or declaration.
